About Us
Some have said we’re more “Bed and Breakfast” than “Inn” others have said the opposite. We think we’re something in between – gracious lodging. More importantly, we provide a warm welcome and a clean, positive and energetic environment to stay in Killington. Whether you are here to ski/board, snowshoe, hike, bike, golf, see family, attend a wedding or stopping through on a trip through New England or Vermont, we want you to feel like you’re at home. We are not a typical hotel, and look forward to providing our guests with a memorable stay.
We are an upscale family run Inn located minutes from the ski lifts. We are located right off the access road on a quiet road but walking distance to all restaurants and the market. We are new owners and have recently renovated the Inn entirely. We offer a very warm and cozy atmosphere with complimentary amenities including hot breakfast prepared and served personally by us, private outdoor hot tub time with robes & slippers. We offer complimentary 24 hour coffee, herbal teas, hot cocoa - hot baked cookies/treats every afternoon, boot & mitten warmers & toiletries in case you forgot something. We have a Wine and Craft Beer Bar that serves hot fresh pizzas and the like. Enjoy being served at our Log Cabin style bar or fireside. We have a community kitchen to use as well. We have suites that include kitchens, private jacuzzi tubs and fireplaces. Others include king beds with fireplace and/or Jacuzzi or a variety of well appointed standard rooms. We are extremely happy to have won several awards for our high reviews left from our guests. Our Inn is decorated perfectly for each season - especially during the holidays! Hope to see you soon - Carolyn & Ken, Innkeepers.
How We Got Here
We are from Ridgefield, CT and have lived throughout the US and in Canada. Carolyn has an exceptional and diverse hospitality background and Ken spent 30 years leading teams and structuring complex financial transactions, globally. In both Carolyn and Ken’s experiences, their real joy was creating positive experiences or outcomes for their customers and teams.
What We’ve Done
We spent our first few months listening to our guests while serving them breakfast or speaking to them by our wood - burning fireplace to solicit some feedback and discuss our ideas/plans for the Inn – that helped us validate our most recent investments in the Inn. Our goal was to bring the great outdoors of Vermont into the Inn, so we spent 5 weeks starting April, 2021, enhancing it.
Our walls are now covered with fresh new pine which complements the rustic furniture both in the lobby and rooms. All rooms received a new mattress and bedding, along with new carpet, drapes, lighting. You’ll find fresh paint and new furniture added in every room - each offering a slightly different, at-home feel. In addition, we’ve provided some in-room workstations for those working remotely.
We have a new Beer and Wine Bar that features a variety of wines from different regions, as well as carefully selected Vermont craft beers, Vermont cheese items and other light fare; a self-service rustic Coffee Bar is available 24/7 with fresh coffee, herbal teas and hot cocoa.
All of this can be enjoyed while sitting in our gathering lounge next to our real, wood-burning fireplace.
Lastly, we understand the reality of vacation/recreation – sometimes work comes with you – so we completely upgraded our mesh-network Wi-Fi with new wiring and up-to-date routers and transmitters in order to ensure consistent, high speeds and capacities throughout the property.
