Killington’s Snowed Inn Celebrates 30 Years with 30% Off Plus Low Season Rates In Effect; Late Winter Snowstorms Keep the Winter From Ending

KILLINGTON, Vt., (March 31, 2014)— In celebration of the ski season that will never end, the owners at the Snowed Inn in Killington are offering low season lodging rates with mid-winter conditions. Lodging is from $89/night for the remainder of the 2013-2014 ski and snowboard season.

In addition, Snowed Inn owners Jeanne and Manfred Karlhuber are celebrating their 30th anniversary of owning the inn and offering a special anniversary rate. For the upcoming year, when guests book a two-night stay at the inn, they’ll receive 30% off the third night, simply by saying Happy Anniversary when they make their reservation.

In 1984, the Karlhubers purchased the little four room guest house with upstairs living quarters built in the 60’s, the dawn of the Killington Resort era, and then embarked with complete optimism and an astonishing lack of fear, on the challenge of a new home state, new careers, new mortgage, and new lives for themselves and their young children. Son Tom was 10 and daughter Kerstin was three. February marked the 30th anniversary of that life-changing event, and they will continue to celebrate this milestone throughout the year.

To date, Killington has received 189 inches of natural snow and continues to reign as the Beast of the East, with plans to offer skiing and riding into May. Spring events continue at the resort, with the famous Bear Mountain Mogul Challenge April 5-6, the Nor’Beaster: Hibernation shred sessions and park jams April 12, Pond Skimming April 19, the May 1st Fun Slalom, and the Killington Triathlon on May 3. “We’re looking forward to an incredible spring ski season and hope our guests will join us for one of the best times of the year,” said Jeanne Karlhuber. “With low season rates in effect plus our 30th Anniversary special, guests will find an incredible lodging deal to go with the spring season.”
