Held at the Killington Grand Hotel each year, the Holiday Festival, put together by the Killington Chamber of Commerce and many local businesses, offers a variety of holiday activities for the young and young at heart including sleigh rides and a chance to view and/or bid on more than 100 individually themed and decorated trees created by local businesses and residents at the Festival of Trees. Guests can take a chance on a tree and possibly win one to take home. There is a Santa's Workshop for kids and more. The package includes 10% off the Inn's normal rate plus free admission to the Festival of Trees. Tax and service charges are additional.
The Snowed Inn Christmas Tree Package, from $110/night provides guests with a pre-Christmas getaway to the Green Mountains of Vermont and a way to relax during the craziness of the holiday period. With this package, guests will enjoy an outing to the charming Paxton Greens, a family run Christmas tree farm in Shrewsbury, where they can either "choose and cut" a Christmas tree for $30 or receive a pre-cut tree starting at $10. The tree farm is open Fridays-Sundays. Tax and service charges are additional.
"We hope these packages will encourage skiers and riders to take advantage of Killington's excellent early season conditions and to get away from all the hustle and bustle that the holiday season creates," said Jeanne Karlhuber, innkeeper. "One soak in our outdoor hot tub in the wooded haven that surrounds the Inn will definitely relax and rejuvenate the most stressed of guests!"
