The Karlhubers Celebrate 27 Years of Innkeeping at the Snowed Inn
Fall 2011 - In February 1984, Manfred and Jeanne Karlhuber made a lifestyle change, moving from Medford, New Jersey to Killington to purchase the Snowed Inn, a small nondescript four room guest house of the 1960s vintage. Salzburg, Austria native Manfred and New Jersey-born Jeanne, didn’t have a clear vision as to what their new property would ultimately become, but as they raised their two children, hosted hundreds of guests, invested countless hours of hard work, and made a few sacrifices along the way, the Karlhubers transformed the Snowed Inn into one of the most popular bed and breakfast inns in Killington today. {more}

Growing Up in the Snowed Inn
Fall 2011 - The Snowed Inn is a small, country bed and breakfast tucked away in a quiet, woodland setting just off of Killington Road. Manfred and Jeanne Karlhuber purchased the inn in 1984 and raised their two children, Kerstin and Tom, in the inn. Now adults, Kerstin, 30, a filmmaker/ director who just relocated to Los Angeles after living and working in New York City for many years, and Tom, 37, an architect in Boston, took a few minutes to answer some questions about growing up in an inn. {more}
